       Licensed in Colorado and Kansas, and practicing Law since 1972, Don is admitted to practice law in all courts in Colorado and Kansas, as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Don graduated with a Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Kansas in 1972. Don is an experienced and successful trial lawyer, having tried almost one hundred criminal jury trials, including eleven first-degree murder cases (ten of which resulted in acquittals) and two organized crime cases, and a plethora of divorce and other civil cases.  Don's practice has been for many years now limited to family law areas such as divorce, legal separation, child custody, paternity, allocation of parental responsibility, and related domestic relations matters.

      Don is the proud father of two adult children who also live here in Colorado Springs.  His son and his son's wife are both school administrators.  His daughter is a librarian and her husband is a school teacher.  Don's two children and their spouses and five grandchildren are the lights of his life.  Don lives in the mountains near Green Mountain Falls west of Colorado Springs, after growing up in western Kansas and living and practicing law there until he was 40 years old. Don has served as the elected prosecuting attorney for two terms in the 1980s in Garden City, Kansas.
