Don wants to be honest and open with you about his fees. He feels that it is very important that potential clients know
in advance about the cost of his legal representation. Many lawyers want to "get you in the door" before they disclose their
fee structures and requirements with you. Don sincerely believes that you are entitled to know this in advance.
Don requires advance retainer fees in most legal matters he handles. A retainer
fee is "up front" money payable before Don begins work on your case. The retainer fee amount is determined based
upon the nature of your legal matter including such considerations as its complexity, severity, anticipated duration, degree
and level of opposition, and the anticipated attorney time required to complete the case. Payment plans for these "up front"
retainer fees are not generally available, but Don will certainly discuss some limited payment plans in some cases.
For divorce (dissolution of marriage) and legal separation cases not involving
child custody (parental responsibility) disputes, Don's retainer fee is ranges from $3,000 to $5,000 (although it may
be more for unusually complex or high-conflict cases) plus the court filing fee which is $184.00 for cases not involving minor
children and $224.00 for cases involving minor children.
For divorce and legal separation cases which involve custody/parental responsibility
or visitation/parenting time disputes, the retainer fee is normally a minimum of $3,500.00, plus the $224.00 court
filing fee. This retainer fee does not include required deposits or retainers for child custody evaluations and/or for a
Child and Family Investigator or Child Legal Representative (an attorney appointed to represent thechildren in a divorce)
fees.
For all divorce, child custody, and other domestic relations/family law matters,
Don normally bills his time at $250.00 per hour, although it may be more for unusually complex or high-conflict cases.
When selecting an attorney for your legal matter and representation, cost should
certainly be a factor in your consideration. However, the fact that another attorney requires a smaller retainer fee or charges
a lower hourly rate does not generally mean that your overall cost will be lower, and it certainly often means that
the quality of the legal services provided will be greatly reduced. Don also takes pride in working very knowledgeably and
efficiently, and his final billings are routinely less than other highly experienced and reputed lawyers in the Colorado Springs
area.
Anyway, you should judge Don for yourself. Don offers FREE INITIAL CONSULTATIONS
for up to one hour. Meet him, "pick his brain," pay nothing, no obligation! Most people who do this, stay with Don and engage
his high quality legal services... and they never regret choosing Don Vsetecka!
THANK YOU!
